The paper reading log isn't working

  • It gets lost

Crumpled in a backpack, buried on the counter, signed in a panic on Monday morning.

  • It feels like homework

Writing down titles and minutes turns reading into a chore — the opposite of the point.

  • It tells you nothing

A list of titles can't tell you whether the books fit — or whether your reader is actually growing.

PopAPage keeps the habit and loses the busywork — scan the book, and the record builds itself.

How it works

The whole loop is three taps

Fast enough for bedtime, and it works offline at the library.

Child reading colorful books indoors 1
Scan

Point at the barcode — the book is identified in under a second.

Child reading a colorful book 2
Log

One tap to pick the child and who they read with. That's it.

Child reading outside 3
Grow

Levels, streaks, and growth charts update on their own.

Why it works

Track their level, and they grow faster.

Kids make the biggest leaps when the next book stretches them just enough — not too easy, not too hard. PopAPage learns exactly where your child reads today, so you can always hand them the right next book to keep that momentum building. Every scan sharpens the picture. Every read moves the needle.

Why it matters

Raising a reader, made visible

The everyday reading you already do is the most powerful thing for your child's future — but it's invisible. PopAPage turns it into a story you can see: levels rising, streaks growing, milestones hit. What gets celebrated gets repeated, and that habit compounds for years.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

Is my child's data safe?

Yes. PopAPage is COPPA-safe by design: parents hold the only account, children never log in, and we never show ads or sell data. You can export or delete your family's data anytime.

How accurate are the reading levels?

Reading levels are AI-generated estimates, clearly labeled as such — a reliable guide for picking the next book, not an official score.

Do I need a library card?

No. You can use PopAPage without one. If you add your library, "Where to find it" gives you precise borrow links on top of buy options.

Which devices does it work on?

PopAPage is in beta on iPhone. An App Store release (and Android later) is on the way.

Is it free?

Yes — PopAPage is completely free during the beta.
